I am the Education and Training Manager for the NZ Orthopaedic Association in Wellington. I have a background and strong interest in intercultural education and promoting and understanding diversity.

I am currently an orthopaedic unaccredited registrar in Brisbane, Australia. I am inspired by the work in Australia to empower the best and brightest junior doctors to pursue orthopaedics, and not just those that traditionally 'fitted the mould'. I hope to become an orthopaedic surgeon that further eliminates the roadblocks that were traditionally placed for marginalised groups to pursue orthopaedics; there is no doubt this will be to the benefit of the orthopaedic community, but most importantly, to our patients.

I'm a 2nd year medical student, with a degree in psychology and ~5 years neuroimaging research experience. I'm interested in surgery and furthering & representing the interests of women in surgery/medicine!

I've been the general representative for my cohort for the past two years, and am now the Women's Officer in our student medical student, representing all female-identifying students, as well as the third year surgical society representative.
